SPRING 2020 REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON DECEMBER 1ST!
Age/Grade: Girls grades 7-8 (14U). These kids are most likely in the emerging competition stage. This is the time for building on strong technical skills and the dawning of tactical awareness. Players will also learn or build onto advanced technical skills and position-specific techniques. We will focus on endurance training and players are introduced to or building on concepts like mental preparation, goal setting and coping with winning/losing.
Please note you can ONLY sign up for this team if your daughter does NOT have a school team to play or try out for. This team is to help fill a void for those schools that do not offer girls lacrosse.
Format: Each week, we will focus on a few different skills of the game as they can better handle multiple focuses and spend a higher percentage of time on team based concepts, skills, plays, settled and transitional offense and defense as well as multiple situations on-field in order to increase decision making speed. We will also work on refining position based skills as girls become more focused.
Practices: Before daylight savings, we will be on Saturdays and Sundays. After daylight savings, we will move to Mon, Wed, Thurs.
